Prayer changes us to see things through God’s eyes. Worship allows us to give praise to God, and that helps us to have the mindset of gratitude even in hard times.

Do not allow torrents of rage and self-pity sweep you away. The best protection against this is gratitude.

Thanking God for trials you face will feel awkward and contrived at first. But if you persist, your thankful words will eventually make a difference in your heart. Thankfulness awakens you to God’s Presence, which overshadows all your problems.
