Prayer Connects You to God
In Acts 4:23-24, the Bible tells us how Peter and John were not afraid of man’s threats. Instead, they turned to prayer to communicate with God. They prayed for God to hear their needs, for God to provide them with boldness, and for God to provide them with supernatural healing.
We know prayer is powerful, so when do we pray? How do we pray? For what do we pray?
Pray constantly. Don’t strive for perfect timing.
- Romans 12:12
Pray Upward. Honor and worship him.
Pray Outward. Put other’s needs ahead of your own.
Pray inward. Put your needs in front of God.
Pray forward. Ask God to get ahead of you and prepare you to defeat evil.
- Matthew 6:9-11
Pray for everything. Do not worry about anything.
You can either worry or pray – you cannot do both. Tell God what you need and thank him for what he has done for you.
- Phillippians 4:6
